Baby Queen 12 weeks

Since we didnt let the news of the pregnancy out until almost twelve weeks, I have a few baby bump pictures that I wanted to post to my blog to share with our friends and family. We have faithfully taken a picture every week since seven weeks! I hope to continue all the way through the forty weeks!

So far so good with the morning sickness and fatigue! I was VERY tired at first, but I have started to regain some energy and spunk! I have had very minimal morning sickness, or in my case, 1 AM sickness. When I went for the 11 week check up, the doctor said the heart rate was at 170+ bpm. She couldn't get a sure count because I kept laughing at the baby moving away from the Doppler every time she would find the heart beat. We find out at 17 weeks whether baby Q is a boy or girl! I had gained five pounds at 11 weeks and she gave me permission to shamelessly eat all the icecream I want... But I haven't really wanted ANY icecream. I have developed a sweet tooth though (the baby must be related to Bill Queen).

Update: for some reason I can't upload the pictures correctly on my iPad

(Gotta find the 10 week picture)

Baby Queen

So, the secret's out... Baby Queen will be here on approximately July 22!! We couldn't be more excited! We are in the process of looking for a house also! Busy, exciting time in the Queen household! I am now 11 weeks along with only a tad bit of morning sickness... Which I am so thankful for. I am such a worrier that I wanted to wait until my second doctor's appointment to tell everyone! I had the appointment yesterday and we heard the heartbeat for the second time. The first time at six weeks, the heart was beating at 120 boom. At 11 weeks, the heart. Was beating 170 bpm! The baby was so active that my doctor had a hard time measuring the babys's heart rate! She says it sounds like a girl...but we all feel like it's a boy. I can't wait to find out in six weeks! So far, the pregnancy is normal and the baby is healthy! We have been taking weekly pictures of my belly, but. Not much has changed yet! I will keep you posted!

Twas the month before Christmas

Fall is my favorite time of the year, and for some odd reason, I love Halloween...usually.  I love the orange, gold, and brown colors of the season and the pumpkin flavored food.  This year, I could not get myself excited about any of it.  I haven't gotten around to doing any baking, but I did decorate at least.  I am however, already in the Christmas spirit this year!  I can't wait to decorate, and today it feels like a hot chocolate kind of day with gray skies and a cold breeze.  So, in the spirit of Christmas, here are some pictures of decoration inspiration!  Have I mentioned that I LOVE pinterest?

Vote YES on Amendment 26

In a sermon at Pinelake, our pastor gave biblical references for how we, as Christians, should vote on the upcoming ballot. If you are unsure of how you should vote, look at the following passages of scripture for direction.
Psalm 139:13-16
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full and well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

Jeremiah 1:4-5
The word of the Lord came to me, saying, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations"

Exodus 21:22-25
If men who are fighting hit a pregnant woman and she gives birth prematurely but there is no serious injury, the offender must be fined whatever the woman's husband demands and the court allows. But if there is serious injury, you are to take life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, burn for burn, wound for wound, bruise for bruise

Psalm 127:3
Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children are a reward from him.

Matthew 18:10
See that you do not look down on one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven.

Amendment 26 will not ban birth control, but it will ban the "morning after pill"
Amendment 26 will not ban invitro fertilization, but it will ban destroying unused embryos.
Amendment 26 will not ban a doctor from saving the life of a mother with a problem pregnancy. The doctor will have to try and save BOTH, but if the baby becomes unviable, the doctor will have to save the mother.

If passed, we will be the first state in the NATION to enact a personhood amendment to protect unborn babies by banning abortion! Mississippi has the chance to LEAD in something!
