Nesting

So, if you have talked to me at all in the past month, you know that I have gotten this itch to buy a house and DECORATE!! Here are some of the pictures that are my inspiration!!

Pot rack made from an old ladder

Kick plates for under your bar where people tend to kick their feet! This is made from old ceiling tiles

I stole this idea from a lady who is going to do this to her bathroom counter!

I just got a sewing machine for Christmas so I want to sew this burlap pillow soon

I love farmhouse sinks!

I have wanted a mantle headboard for FOREVER.  Here is one completely done DIY, including the appliques added to the top and sides

I want to make a mirror like this for my dining room!  It makes the room look so much bigger

Check out the awesome "window sill"

This is my dream kitchen that is completely DIY!  The island is from JC Penney and the cabinets and sink are from IKEA.. She refaced this refrigerater herself, with no prior experience in kitchen demo

I want an old cabinet to display my china that looks like this!

I love the upholstery and the pillow

beautiful headboard made of old doors

I love this farmhouse sink

Another dream kitchen

Another farmhouse sink!

Oh, I can't wait to have a HOUSE!!  But I am focusing on being content where God has me right now!

Welcome to Bucky's

The day after Christmas we headed to Point Clear, AL with Bill and Pam.  We stayed for 2 days and had a wonderful relaxing time!

We stayed at the Grand Hotel in Point Clear, AL which is about five minutes from the CUTE town of Fairhope, AL.  This is the view from Bill and Pam's room!

This is the view from our room.  Over to the right is the bay!

The nutcracker greeted us as we ate breakfast lunch and dinner

After our manicures and pedicures! We also got deep tissue massages!

This is the Christmas village that is set up in the dining hall

This is the fireplace that greets guests in the main building.  You can find people relaxing by the cozy fire and reading their books

The chef has his own herb garden for the meals served at The Grand

The Golf Club house is amazing!

View of the bay

This is a statue of Bucky.  BQ and PQ were telling us how they met him and talked to him the last time they were here in 2007.  Sadly, we later found out that he had passed away in 2002.  That's why they built the statue in 2005... They just thought they had talked to Bucky.  We laughed and laughed.

In the summer time, you can swing by the bay

The Christms decorations are BEAUTIFUL

The Christmas tree sits in the main building also, right beside the fireplace

I hope everyone had a Happy New Year!
