Karis Almy

Her cute little family!

There is a beautiful baby girl named Karis Almy who needs prayers.  She was born June 29, 2010 and six months later she was diagnosed with Krabbe's (Krabba) disease.  It is an extremely rare disease that breaks down the white matter in her brain, not allowing the muscles to receive signals from the nerves.  It is a progressive disease that will cause more and more muscles to become affected.  Most babies that are diagnosed with Krabbe's disease at Karis's age do not live longer than 13 months.  Karis receives OT and PT four times a week, which is helping her little muscles alot.  There is a pancake breakfast being held in her honor on Saturday morning, September 25, 2010.  Tickets are $5 and proceeds will go to help with Karis's medical expenses.  Anyone who wants to buy tickets or donate let me know!

Her parents have started the 629 project where they are asking everyone to pray at 6:29 every day.  Pray for strength, peace, and encouragement for her parents, and healing for Karis.

You can find out more information on this website: Karis Almy.  There are updates posted by Karis's parents about her progress!
